Gray Matter is the brain-child of Amanda Bendt. Amanda has a tremendous passion for working in the mental health sector and enjoys sharing her knowledge, skills and experience with people who seek her support with the desire to improve their lives. Amanda values the knowledge and experience of her clients and respects them as being the experts in their own lives. She is straight forward in her approach and communicates clearly on a level that meets each persons needs. Amanda provides a safe, non-judgemental environment for adults of all backgrounds. Amanda provides evidence based best practice in the form of Focused Psychological Strategies (FPS) which include: Amanda has experience working for government and non-government organisations in rural and regional settings, with community groups and individuals. Amanda had experience in Child Protection and Sexual Assault Support Services before moving into mental health. She has held positions of Case Manager for Adult Community Mental Health Services, Rural Mental Health Clinician in two separate locations in Tasmania, and a Support Facilitator with the Nation-wide Partners in Recovery (PiR) program.
