Grattan Keating

Welcome to the portfolio of Grattan F. Keating Fine Art. I initially trained as a Traditional Fine Artist at Crawford College of Art & Design, Cork City, Ireland, before moving on to gain Masters Degrees in both Aesthetics & History of Art and Modern & Contemporary History of Art in University College Cork. I work in a variety of different media, b... ut my preference is for oil paint. My practice is primarily focused on portrait painting, landscape, and seascapes. To date I have had 18 exhibitions and received numerous awards for my work, including the Crawford College of Art & Design Honours Degree Exhibition Purchase Prize Award 2005 as part Corks status as European City of Culture. I have also had the pleasure to teach and lecture in Art and Art History in the UK for many years. My studio practice is currently based in West Cork, where I am in the process of developing new and exciting work.
