Grasse River Heritage

Grasse River Heritage was founded in 1999 as a private 501(c)(3) organization and donations are tax-deductible. GRH partners with many different organizations and individuals in its commitment to improve Canton's Grasse River corridor. Our location, overlooking the Grasse River at Rushton Place, provides meeting space and serves as a venue for coll... aborative initiatives, displays, community gatherings and educational programs. Groups that would like to use our Community Room for an event or meeting are encouraged to contact us. GRH is managed by a 15 member volunteer Board of Directors and has worked in partnership with the St. Lawrence County Housing Council, Town and Village of Canton, St. Lawrence University, and SUNY Canton. The work of the organization is accomplished through seven standing committees: Executive, Buildings and Grounds, Finance, Fundraising, Outreach, Volunteer Coordination and Planning. GRH seeks grants and donations to further river development and improve surrounding properties.
