Our systems offer an online risk management reporting tool, available 24/7, that will allow you and Granite Payment Alli... ance to evaluate each merchant and alert you of possible risks before they happen. Under our Associate Bank program, the bank is expected to perform this function daily. Granite Payment Alliance performs risk management daily on every processing platform, including a shadow risk review for our Associate Banks. Our goal is to assist you and the merchant in preventing unnecessary and excessive exposure to potential loss. Customized risk reporting is available by setting individual merchant parameters when the merchant is initially set up and boarded onto the processing system. In addition, our system automatically checks the Combined Terminated Merchant File (CTMF). This is a negative file of all Visa and MasterCard merchants that have been identified by their previous processor as being a potential risk due to excessive charge backs, overdrafts, or fraudulent history. Should we identify a merchant as a match on the CTMF, one of our representatives will contact you to discuss any concerns and possible actions that may be taken. As a second line of defense, Granite Payment Alliance will also work closely with the Card Brands (Visa, MasterCard and Discover), our sponsoring bank and our back-end processor to identify potential problems.
