Grand Syndicates is a horse racing syndication business catering specifically for people who want to own a share in a racehorse-but don't want to spend a Kings Ransom to do it. For the major part, five per cent shares in each of our syndicates are priced the same-they're $1,100 each inc gst. In 2015 we introduced 'Double Grand' shares priced at $2,... 200 each which opens up our buying scope at yearling sales. Working together with our trusted trainers and bloodstock agents, we do all the hard work for you as we spend long hours combing the catalogues and inspecting hundreds of yearlings so that we can bring you value priced horses without you having to spend the Earth to get into them. We offer syndicate shares in Victoria, News South Wales, Queensland and Western Australia which should appeal to the budget savvy racehorse owner. The majority of our syndicates are made up of 20 shares priced at $1,100 inc gst. For that reason, obviously the most we can ever pay for our horses is $20,000-and even then, with the costs associated with syndicating racehorses, we'll make a slight loss. But we'll cop that! Most of our horses are purchased in the $5,000-$15,000 range-except for the new 'Double Grand' offerings. In our brochures, and on the home page of our website is a comprehensive list of successful racehorses that have been purchased for $20,000 or less. Some of them such as SHOOT OUT, PRIVATE STEER, SINCERO, LADY LYNETTE and co have each won over a million dollars in prizemoney! Others such as TAKEOVER TARGET have become household names! The syndicate fees on a 5% share in a Grand Syndicate are $200.75 per month per share (which works out to be exactly $6.60/day) which, with the exception of the possibility of feature race payments and associated transport, and the rare situation where a horse is in work for extended periods of time (meaning it keeps winning), means that you know exactly what you're up for .
