Gramonnati Trust is a not-for-profit social enterprise that aims to support rural transformation through technology and entrepreneurship. 'Technology' to help rural communities get access to most relevant knowledge and skills locally in their village and 'entrepreneurship' to help them become job-creators instead of job-seekers. We aim to select, t... rain, mentor ex-soldiers, youth and women to become rural entrepreneurs. Why? Because nothing democratizes wealth better than micro-entrepreneurship; and if it is done at scale, in villages, it would help first reduce and then reverse migration of youth from villages to urban areas, even as it helps transform villages to become hubs of rural development. For this purpose, we are setting up Gramonnati Kendras in villages, small towns and remote areas; with a view to bring a wide range of technology, skills, livelihood and entrepreneurship trainings and programs to the rural communities.
