Gday, So you are wondering who I am? Born in Sydney Australia and raised in Perth Western Australia my dream was always to be an ambassador for my home country and work in the Travel Industry. This dream of mine came true when I started working as a Travel Agent in Australia in 1988 and customizing itineraries for clients who wished to travel in Au... stralia and New Zealand. Over the past years I have worked in many areas of the Travel Industry which have allowed me to collect a wealth of knowledge which I am still adding on to today. In 2000 I achieved another life long dream when I immigrated to Canada. During this time I have lived in Edmonton, Toronto, Ottawa, and Yellowknife and traveled to many other regions in Canada and the USA. In 2004 I opened GoWalkabout Travel after the company I was working with previously ( ANZA Travel ) closed its doors. This has allowed me to live my passion even more by customizing dream holidays for clients from Canada and the USA to visit Australia and New Zealand plus The Cook Islands, Fiji and Tahiti. Because my clients are located far and wide across Canada and the USA there is no need for me to have a physical brick and mortar office. This has allowed me to not only be flexible for my clients in terms of times of contacting each other but it has allowed me the time to travel in abundance and actually immerse myself with the local people and really know an area. This allows me to do all the groundwork for my clients to have a one of a kind experience. I spend many months of the year in Australia and New Zealand meeting with suppliers, inspecting accommodation and staying as up-to-date as possible. I like to know about my regions inside and out! Whilst I love to tailor-make itineraries for my clients I also can and will book the bigger bus tours if needed. Or, in some cases, my clients do a combination of tailored and fully guided.
