We are not complacent about risk. Liquidity is vital in an uncertain world. We invest only in exchange traded securities so that we can promptly liquidate investments should clients need capital or in the event of a market crisis. We also generate liquidity for clients through the use of derivatives, and taxable clients can also access margin loans (we manage the margin risk exposure) to meet short-term liquidity needs. Emotional investing at market peaks or lows adversely impact wealth creation and capital preservation. Successful investing requires advance planning, so that clients are in a position to capitalize on the dislocations in security prices that occur during euphoric markets as well as the opportunities created during market crises.
