About Got Your Six
Huntsville Got Your Six is a 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to providing PTSD Service Dog training to military veterans with PTSD. We provide hands-on training for veterans and their dogs at our facility and in the real world from puppy-hood to certification at no cost to the veteran. If a veteran needs a dog we use local rescues to find a qualifying dog. Training is no cost for the working life of the dog. GYS works closely with our client's mental health provider, and support system, as a team with the goal of improving quality of life for both the veteran and their families. We are looking forward to the results of the VA efficacy study on PTSD Service Dogs, and support legislation that positively affects veterans and PTSD Service Dogs and Service Dogs in general.Explore more
