Gordon founded the firm in 1987 after having been General Counsel for the Coldwell Banker Residential Group for several years. The firm works with clients that require the highest and most current level of legal guidance in light of the significant and ongoing legal and regulatory changes affecting their businesses. Mr. Gordon is recognized as one of the most innovative and effective lawyers in the federal regulation of the mortgage banking and real estate services area. He has unique expertise regarding the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), the federal law changes under Dodd Frank and regulatory oversight of RESPA and the mortgage industry by the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection. Mr. Gordon has also devoted time to assisting startup companies in various fields including renewable energy and technology advances as applied to the real estate services industry. He obtained his Juris Doctor degree from UCLA Law School in 1971 and a Bachelors of Arts from UCLA in 1968.
