About Good Wool
At Cranberry Moon Farm we raise longwool breeds of sheep. We are the first farmstead in Massachusetts to breed Leicester Longwools, aka English Leicester, a rare breed of sheep with less than 400 registered sheep in the USA, and approximately 2400 worldwide and presently on the Critical List with the American Livestock Breeds Conservancy. We breed purebred Leicester Longwool sheep, purebred Bluefaced Leicester sheep, registered Natural Colored sheep and Romney sheep. We are breeding for fiber length, luster and durability, and for stong mothering ability and healthy steady growth. e shear our sheep once or twice a year depending on the animal and have their fleeces available for sale.Explore more
