We are committed to sustainable, organic farming practices for many reasons: to ensure the integrity of the soil, protect our water source, co-exist in harmony with the natural inhabitants and to grow the most delicious produce possible. We grow many types of fruits and vegetables to enjoy. Having a wide variety of crops discourages pests and encou... rages beneficial wildlife. Additionally, we minimize our need for pest control by protecting wild areas, planting native flowering plants and installing bird houses thereby encouraging the natural predators of pests. The crops are grown on a very special parcel of land that has been lovingly cared for, for hundreds, if not thousands of years. Over a thousand years ago, the area was known as the passageway to the Pacific Northwest for Native peoples of America. We have found many early Native American artifacts throughout the property. We keep these artifacts in our farm office to remind us that we are not here forever and must care for the land for the generations to follow.Read More
