GMZ was founded in 2001, formerly known as C.L. Zimmerman Co. The company served the CASE (Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants and Elastomers), and the Personal Care and HI&I Industries. In February 2014, DeWolf Chemical, Glenn Corporation and Tempo Canada, known as The DeWolf Companies, were acquired by KODA Distribution Group, the leading distributor o... f specialty chemicals in North America. Through this strategic acquisition, The DeWolf Companies became the Beauty Care and HI&I market vertical of KODA Distribution Group; this vertical is known as KODA Care. As a result, GMZ's Personal Care and HI&I business units became part of the newly formed KODA Care market vertical.
