Glacier Guides

Glacier Guides was founded in 1983 to provide ecologically sensitive backcountry guiding and interpretation in Glacier National Park. In those days there were just three people, but four years later the company expanded to include rafting on the area's two Wild and Scenic rivers with Montana Raft Company (hence the two names). In 2010 the company b... uilt Glacier Guides Lodge to give the company's guests a more eco-friendly lodging option in West Glacier. Glacier Guides Guest House came along a few years later. Today, with more than ninety guides and support people on the company's staff, the company provides Glacier National Park's most comprehensive and professional rafting, hiking, fishing, and biking service. At Glacier Guides and Montana Raft, the company owe the company's success to the company's amazing staff. We're not just a company, we're friends. Many of the company's guides are students or teachers in the off-season, dovetailing their schedules with the summer season here in West Glacier. Others ski, hike, fish, raft or bike professionally in other parts of the country during the rest of the year. All are dedicated outdoors people who hone their skills constantly, sharing hard won insights with you, the company's guests.
