GettingPersonal.co.uk is an online retailer specialising in personalised and unique gift ideas. Founded in 2005, Getting Personal offer products that cannot be purchased on the high street and are always working hard to extend their range. Beginning with a personalised calendar, which today is still one of their most popular products, now growing t... o designing and producing many of their gifts in-house. Getting Personal take their customer suggestions very seriously and many of their products have been created as consequence. The design, manufacture and installation was carried by utilising the in-house services from within the Signworld Group; Designers from Signworld created the concept, Metal Fabricator's from SmartFab engineered and created the signage, and Installation Crews from Sign Maintenance UK oversaw a potential difficult fitting of all products to client satisfaction. The signage itself, which is another fine example of a bespoke package, consisted of pan-folded, powder coated white aluminum tray signs with CNC machined flat-cut letters to the face. These letters had full colour digitally printed graphics, using Signworld's Mimaki JV3-260 digital printer, to meet with Getting Personal's brand guidelines and an easy to digest web address was added to complete the adjacent return edge of the building front. Along with the tray signs, Getting Personal required a sign that could be seen from the road, to help visitors find them in the bustling Manchester business park, Roundthorn Industrial Estate - which houses many respected businesses including Timpsons, Wates and AirWorld to name but a few. Signworld's solution to the road sign requirement was a 3.5 metre, powder coated, ice white totem sign featuring 10mm thick letters bonded directly to each face of the totem. The thickness of the letters helps bring the totem sign alive.
