Motivates childrens young minds and active bodies laying the foundation for a lifetime of physical activity and experiential education. I have been working in the recreation field for the past 30 years in Andover and I have seen a growing public health concern: childhood obesity. The playing fields and neighborhood backyards are losing kids to the lure of the TV and video games. Family dinners are being held at the drive-thru in the SUV. The idea of outdoor classrooms and hands-on learning has been eclipsed by the computer.
