GeoManGear was founded in 2005 by Jay 'GeoMan', an avid cyclist and outdoorsman who was a great friend to all of us who hike and ride the Mountain West. Cycling was Jay's passion, and, working with a core group of like-minded enthusiasts, he developed a small line of lighting products to meet both their unique needs and their exacting standards. Wh... at began as a garage operation in Santa Fe quickly grew, through word of mouth, into an international phenomenon as cyclists, runners, hikers, skiers, climbers, cavers, dogsledders, search-and-rescue professionals, and myriad other customers in need of top-quality, high-performance, affordable lights and lighting products flocked to the GeoManGear website. Jay, tragically, succumbed to colon cancer in 2010, leaving behind a legacy of camaraderie, innovation and inspiration. Those of us blessed to have known him remember Jay as the quintessential guy who lives life to its fullest, always pushing the envelope, day in and day out. He was not the type to let something as mundane as physical pain, bad weather or short winter daylight interfere with his love of the outdoors. And it was in this spirit of boundless enthusiasm and adventure that GeoManGear was born. Today, with offices in Colorado, Arizona and New Mexico, GeoManGear continues to build on Jay's legacy, offering a wide array of quality lighting, biking and related products and accessories for those who push the limits. We test our gear both in the laboratory and where it counts, in the great outdoors. Led by Reade Jackson, Jay's long-time director of business development, Team GeoManGear vets every product we sell, and no product makes its way into the GeoManGear lineup without first proving itself in the crucible of training and competition.
