General Store Cooperatives flagship cafe and marketplace, (1875 Springfield Avenue, Maplewood) think mini-Chelsea Market, hosts a variety of locally-owned businesses under its roof, including Good Bottle Refill Shop, Dry Goods Refillery, Three Daughters Baking Co., Love Where You Live by Mrs. Meshugga... , The Maplewood Wheelhouse (cheese shop), and an outpost for South Orange favorites Kitchen a la Mode and Sadies. GSC also curates a rotating selection of wares available from its network of local makers, artists, and indie businesses, including Alysian, Body Garbage, Hillside Candle. Co, Mobile Roots, Nitjuan Designs, MSK Handicrafts, South Mountain Bees, Javas Compost, and more! Three Daughters Baking Co. is owned and operated by pastry chef Erica Leahy. Erica has over 18 years of experience in pastry and baking. The bulk of her experience is with high end restaurants, Chris Cannons Jockey Hollow Bar and Kitchen, Tom Colicchos Craft group, Daniel Bouluds db Bistro Moderne, as well as bakeries and catering companies. Erica left the restaurant industry to branch out on her own and develop a business to showcase her talents. At the new General Store Cafe + Marketplace, Erica and Three Daughters Baking Co will use be using that experience to bring elevated, seasonal sweet treats to Springfield Ave. In addition, she will offer assorted healthy, but hearty savory items for breakfast and lunch. Good Bottle Refill Shop is the first refill shop in New Jersey offering an assortment of kitchen, bath and laundry products in a refillable option, eliminating the need for single use plastics. A variety of zero waste lifestyle products are also be available for purchase, and workshops will be held throughout the year.
