Gallery One

Gallery One is a fine art gallery owned and operated by a group of local artists hailing from the Maryland/Delaware shore area. The Gallery was established in 2005 and moved to its current location in 2009, where it nearly doubled its exhibit space. More than twenty-two artists and artisans fill the space with original work and fine art reproductio... ns ranging from paintings and multi-media flat art, to glass, photography, pottery, sculpture and textiles. The interior of the gallery belies its simple exterior, boasting a subtle and sophisticated setting to complement the beauty of its contents. The fifteen artist/owners offer a wide variety of styles and mediums. Subject matter covers a broad spectrum ranging from local scenery and seascapes to studies of the European countryside; floral, still lifes, figures, portraits and surreal renderings, are all offered in traditional and contemporary treatment. The gallery is refreshed on an ongoing basis, and the entire space is re-hung once a month to ensure that customers are treated to the most recent and best work available. A special theme exhibit is displayed each month, in which each of the artist/owners display a painting representing his/her unique approach to a single topic. Several of the gallery members are available for commission work. These artists will create custom portraits (people, pets), illustrations of homes or other special places or events, or a trompe l'oeil painting or mural in the client's own space.
