This was achieved by downloading a digital file from a remote server and then saving it to a local drive or playing it back using a CD-ROM. In 1991 the first commercial ethernet switch was developed, which allowed for more powerful computer networks and the first streaming video services. This streaming service remains hugely popular and has been around for quite a while. It provides unlimited streaming of TV shows, movies, documentaries, comedies and original series such as Orange Is The New Black and House of Cards. One monthly subscription fee applies, and you can have multiple user profiles on a single account.
