During FxF#18, on April 18th at Filmens Hus , we will finish the day with the screening of the feature film Buenel in the Labyrinth of the Turtles directed by Salvador Simo. Screening will be in its original language with English subtitles, brought to you in collaboration with Cinemateke... t. Plot: Paris in 1930, Luis Buñuel is left penniless after a film leads to a falling out with Salvador Dal. On a whim, Buñuels good friend, sculptor Ramón Acn, buys a lottery ticket and promises to devote his winnings to fund Buñuels next film. Thank you Tommy Vad Flaaten for this years brilliant poster! During Frame by Frame #18, on April 18th, at Filmens hus , we will have the pleasure of hearing Rebecka Taule . Rebecka works as a motion designer at TRY-Apt , in Oslo. She loves working with projects which combine science and design. We will have a presentation of her beautiful short films Beauty In Numbers Pi/3.14 and We Will Be Martians which she has made for the World Science Festival. We are very much looking forward to meeting you Rebecka! It is with great pleasure that we announce our first confirmed international guest: Louis Clichy ! Louis will tell us about his career from being an animator at Pixar, to directing his 2d short film and then directing the two CG Asterix feature films. Jonas Odell is a Swedish music video and film director. Odell, who specializes in a mix of animation and live action, has directed a number of short films, music videos and commercials. His short films Never Like the First Time! and Lies won international awards. He has directed a vast array of music videos for some of the worlds leading artists: U2 , Franz Ferdinand , The Rolling Stones and many more. During FxF#14 Jonas will talk about storytelling in animation. If any of you have heard him this year during Fredrikstad Animation Festival be assured that it will be a different presentation!
