Futura Group was highly commended as Hunter/ Central Coast Exporter of the Year at Wednesday night's award ceremony. The commendation recognises Futura Group's consultancy and training development services to Galaxy Entertainment Group (Macau). Finalists in the category included Aquation, TCILK International and Formit Portable Toilets, who were an... nounced as winners in the same award category for achieving significant growth into new markets with their flat packed toilets, which are now sold all over the globe. Futura Group are honoured to receive this accolade. We would also like to congratulate Formit Portable Toilets, and the Export Council of Australia for recognising the efforts of both businesses! Throughout 2014/2015 Futura Group consulted extensively with Galaxy to determine inhouse training needs prior to the launch of GEG's new casino 'Broadway', where a unique approach to training was required. In response to these needs, Futura Group planned and developed a suite of training materials to be used across all operational areas of GEG's flagship property, assisting in the rollout of pre-launch training to over 3,500 operational staff across multiple business units and outlets. Futura Group, who are a leading provider of hospitality training resources and eLearning, used these expertise to develop bespoke training programs for chefs, foodservice, back of house, supervisors, and gaming staff - incorporating content to address cultural and contextual needs and existing day-to-day operating procedures. Lisa McAuley, Chief Executive Officer for the Export Council of Australia said "despite this being a particularly difficult year in terms of the domestic and global economic conditions, many applicants demonstrated a real talent for innovation - cleverly evolving their products to meet market needs".
