FSN Charity

FSN was founded in 1939 to provide homes for boys and later girls, whose parents, for various reasons were unable to look after them. From 1939 to 1985 FSN ran several small homes with up to 12 children living in them with house parents bringing them up often alongside their own children. With its Memorandum and Articles registered in 1942, FSN reg... istered as a charity in 1962. Working within the aims and objectives agreed FSN developed a range of residential services between 1985 and 1991 and then went on to develop a range of children's, young people and family support services based in community buildings in the heart of some of the most disadvantaged areas in East Sussex. In 1999 FSN celebrated its Diamond Jubilee year by completing on the purchase of the St. Nicholas Centre which is now its registered office. From this secure base FSN has grown to be a leading provider in Hastings and Rother for family support and a range of highly innovative projects have been developed over the years to support children and young people with their families and in their communities.
