About Frontier Steel
Frontier Steel is a steel service center that processes and distributes carbon steel plate in thicknesses ranging from 16ga to 16" as well as widths up to 120" and lengths up to 720. The company's 33-acre site is the former Dravo Barge Facility which manufactured Landing Ship Tanks (LSTs) during World War II. We're located on Pittsburgh's Neville Island, at mile marker 7.8 on the Ohio River. The company's plant is easily accessible by barge and rail, and from Interstate 79. John Matig started Frontier in 1999 and still serves as the company's president.
