Through personal experiences the founders of Freedom Saddles understand the difficulties of living with untreated PTSD. Our goal is to offer assistance through horses so individuals can experience the joy and calmness through horses, and then carry it into their everyday life. Mindy Erwin has over 20 years experience with training and riding horses... . Since the age of 7, Mindy expressed the desire to help people experience the joy and calmness a person could have around a horse. "I originally wanted to teach disabled children how to ride. After marrying a man in the military, I extended my plan to include helping our veterans who suffer from PTSD. I have seen the effects of PTSD on families and I want to help them through equine therapy." Joy Neely owns multiple local businesses and teamed up with Mindy Erwin in order to achieve a goal of her own through the combined efforts.
