About Frans Vischer
Frans Vischer was born in Holland. His family immigrated to America when he was eleven years old. Speaking no English, his drawings helped him communicate. When Frans was thirteen his family visited the Disney Studio, where he was encouraged to make his own animated films. With a recommendation from legendary Warner Bros. cartoon director Chuck Jones, Frans was accepted at Cal Arts in Southern California, and thereafter was hired by the Walt Disney Company. Telling his kids silly bedtime stories inspired Frans to do childrens books. Frans lives in Glendale, CA with his wife and three kids and a fat cat and a loud dog. Author, illustrator, animator. When Frans isnt writing or drawing, he likes to read, listen to music, see movies, do stuff with his family, and play soccer.Explore more
