Laurence Francis Rooney III (born December 4, 1953) is an American politician and diplomat who was a U.S. Representative for Florida's 19th congressional district from 2017 to 2021. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Georgetown University in 1975 and a Juris Doctor from the Georgetown University Law Center in 1978. Rooney is the oldest child of Laurence Francis and Lucy Turner Rooney's six children. Rooney served as the Chief Executive Officer and President at Rooney Holdings, Inc. since 1984.
