WHO I AM - FOX DESIGN STUDIO; HOME DESIGN SPECIALIST. My name is Wade Fox. I am a Professional Member of the American Institute of Building Design® & the owner of Fox Design Studio. I have nineteen years of experience in designing home plans for green, energy-efficient homes. I obtain an extensive background in construction from working hands on in... nearly every trade. I was raised in a home with a great family, all of which are construction professionals. I am a firm believer that smaller is better, and I design all of my houses to be comfortable and economical. My priority is that clients are happy and safe in their new home. WHY I DO IT - APPRECIATION FOR WELL DESIGN HOME PLANS. My passion is residential design and home plans. I strive to be great at one, rather than acceptable at many. I focus on good home design, the latest energy-efficient construction techniques, building products and design methods. I combine your needs, desires and budget to ensure you have the home you are dreaming of. I use a flat-rate fee system based on price per square foot. Other arrangements can be discussed if needed. HOW I DO IT - SKILL, EXPERIENCE AND PASSION. I use AutoCAD, The industry-standard software used by professional home plan designers and Architects. AutoCAD is extremely accurate and helps to eliminate mistakes commonly found in hand drawings, and low budget software. I utilize SketchUp and Revit, modeling software, which helps clients to visualize their home in 3D early on, in the planning stages.
