Anton and Gail Buttery are a successful husband and wife team. Antons introduction to the culinary arts commenced with his basic training in the Army Catering Corps. On his return to Civvy Street he was Chef in his parents Hotel and Pub/Restaurant in Newquay. Eight years in Basingstoke increased his commercial experience in various establishments.... He has fine tuned his skills by constant research and personal development to a level enjoyed by all guests to his signature Fine Dining Restaurant, Langmans in Callington near Plymouth. Gail has a very different background. Initially her sales training was in advertising with Thomson Directories. Success was such that she was able to take a year off in her mid thirties to travel round the world. This was followed by 11 years in recruitment, again receiving many corporate awards for her achievements. Her skill with customers and desire to provide a warm, friendly, yet professional service means diners feel special every time they visit. October 2000 saw the realisation of their dream to own their own restaurant. At Langmans, Anton and Gail established a reputation as a Restaurant with excellent food and service. Accolades have included consistently achieving 2AA Rosettes for Culinary Excellence and Cornwall's Restaurant of the Year on more than one occasion!
