Who is Foundation Speech Therapy
We each of have a role in building communities where everyone, no matter their limitations can be a valued and participating member. For more than 21 years, Angela Matsen has worked with children, teens and adults to improve their speech and language skills. Serving as a speech-language pathologist in the public schools, private practice and medical settings she has individualized the needs of her clients to master skills for improved communication and quality of life. She recently moved with her husband and 3 boys to Bozeman Montana from Rockville Maryland just outside of Washington DC. Passionate about the outdoors and the western way of life Bozeman was a natural fit. During her time on the east coast, Angela had the opportunity to pursue some of her professional passions and areas of interest, including certifying in Autism from John Hopkins University. She has been a member of 2 Assistive Technology teams providing augmentative and alternative communication to individuals without a voice. Angela has had leadership opportunities and been a source for training professional peers, clients, and families throughout her career. Angela is driven when it comes to continuing education, keeping up on the current trends and evidence-based therapy practices. She brings that knowledge to her clients giving her a vast toolbox of skills to craft individualized goals that meet patients needs for continued progress. With encouragement from colleagues, clients, and families she has worked with over the years, Angela has started a private practice, Foundation Speech Therapy Inc. She knows and believes in the value that every member in a community has something to offer and she is passionate about helping her clients find their voice.Read more
