Formation Zone opened in the landmark Roland Levinsky Building in 2008 to help people in the creative sector establish and grow their business ideas. Since then, the Formation Zone model has been successfully replicated across different sectors - including marine, technology, environment and health - as well as in several different locations. We su... pport start-up, innovative businesses and social enterprises by providing a place where they can access the professional advice and supportive environment needed to thrive. Our open plan office encourages collaboration between our clients and our meeting rooms, facilities and prestigious address will make your business look and feel more professional to both existing clients and new prospects. As part of Plymouth University, our business clients are able to tap into the knowledge and expertise of our students, staff and researchers, and many also recruit our talented graduates. Formation Zone has supported 180 businesses to develop and has helped to create more than 70 jobs. Starting in a dedicated business incubator like Formation Zone increases your chance of start-up success - in fact 80 per cent of businesses started with Formation Zone continue to thrive - an impressive statistic given that nationally almost 60 per cent of business fail to survive their first five years. You can now find us on the 2nd floor of the prestigious Marine Building on the University's main Plymouth campus.
