Form & Pressure Films was born out of a desire to create content with a conscience. As makers, we believe that media is the greatest influencer. We have a responsibility to tell stories that reflect the world we live in, and the future we strive towards. Lauren Sowa is an independent filmmaker. In 2016, she co-founded Form & Pressure Films to tell stories that inspire and provoke thought, while encouraging diversity and equality on set and on screen. Producing credits include: Marisol, directed by Zoé Salicrup Junco, Shield, written and directed by Danielle Eliska Lyle, Stray, directed by Nora Unkel, and Show & Tell, directed by Sakshi Gurnani, among others. Directing credits include: Midsummer 3.2, In Development, LinkedOut, and To Be in America. As an actor, Lauren has been featured in the films 42 Seconds of Happiness (now available on Amazon Prime), Café Artist, The Rainbow Experiment (Slamdance 2018), and The Devils Well. He wrote and acted in their first short, Marisol, available on HBO and at festivals. He has been featured on The Deuce, The Plot Against America, Boardwalk Empire, and Bronx SIU. Recent and upcoming films include Paris is in Harlem, The Rainbow Experiment, Seven Lovers, and Deadly Vengeance. A veteran of classical and downtown theater, Tim played MacBeth with Everett Quinton and several Sleep No More alums in a Catholic Church in Chinatown, Hamlet at the cell, and Romeo at Yale. He has done numerous immersive projects with Stella Artois, Target, Secret Cinema, and AMC. Regional theater includes Sexual Perversity (ART), The Little Tragedies (MXAT), Cherry Docs (New Rep), The Real Thing (Northern Stage), Compleat Works (Natl Tour), Much Ado, Cymbeline, Elizabeth Rex (Opera House Arts).
