Forensic Pieces, Inc. was established in 2000 by Jan Johnson, a Certified Senior Crime Scene Analyst, who spent her career with the FBI, FDLE, and Escambia County Sheriff's Office. Jan realized that as she neared retirement, she wished to continue in the field of forensics by teaching her expertise to others. Forensic Pieces started as a forensic t... raining company, serving law enforcement, governmental, and educational facilities. However, as the need for forensic expertise in criminal, civil, and private cases was noticed by Jan, she began reviewing, examining, testing, and testifying in court in these matters as a forensic expert/consultant. With a move to a bigger facility in 2009, Forensic Pieces was able to begin in house lab processing which enhanced casework. Today, Forensic Pieces is gaining more ground by bringing on additional instructors with stellar talent who are all recognized in their fields. We have added instructors that specialize in photography, tire track and footwear, fingerprints, and bloodstain amongst other disciplines and are expanding as technologies and interests arise.
