Donegal where the business was founded back in 1981 under the name Spleodar Leictreonach Teoranta specialising in the design and manufacture of mains and battery energisers. In 2002 the company was acquired by Tekelek Europe Ltd an electronics manufacturing business based in Shannon Co. Clare and from then on became known as Forcefield Active Techn... ology Ltd. Being part of a larger manufacturing group allowed Forcefield to develop a larger range of electric fence energisers and testers, and from 2002 until the present day Forcefield has a proven track record of bringing new advances in electric fencing technology to the market and has become a leader in the industry. In 2017 Forcefield acquired Zapper Lab - a Malaysian based manufacturer of electric fence energisers and now exports electric fence systems all over the world. Over the years Forcefield has broadened its portfolio outside of electric fencing to include other Agri Hardware products such as Workwear, Calf Care, Strainrite Fencing Tools, Rodent Control, Lighting and much more, have a browse through our website to find out more. Due to continued expansion of the business in 2016 we moved to a new purpose built facility at Portdrine Business Park which is located in Cratloe, County Clare just 4 miles from Limerick City. The premises is strategically located just off the M18 motorway which gives us direct access to the road networks allowing us to offer a market leading delivery service. Forcefield Active Technology have 4 sales representatives, 3 in the Republic of Ireland and 1 in Northern Ireland who service our large network of coops and agri merchants across the island.
