We hope this message finds you safe and healthy in these unprecedented times. We wanted to update you on our phased in re-opening of our office on Friday May 1. The plan is fact driven in accordance with public health officials and government agencies to minimize the health risk to our staff and you, our loyal patients. Our transition office hours... will be Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm, closing to the public for lunch between 1pm to 2pm daily to ensure our facility is clean, disinfected and ready to serve you. We will offer, limited Contact Lens wearer only appointments on Saturdays. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate this challenge. Physical distance is the "new normal", for now. We will be limiting the number of people in our facility, including staff. We have temporarily decreased the number of staff and the number of exam schedule appointments we offer each day. That means you should come to your exam alone, if possible, and/or use your car as our extended waiting room. We can text or call when you are able to enter safely. We have placed decals on the floor to remind everyone 6 feet separation is the new protocol. There will be exceptions in distance to deliver the type of care necessary. Therefore, masks or other face coverings will be worn by all. Even a cloth mask, worn by staff and patients, can reduce the risk of transmission by a significant percentage. We are wearing only washable attire, meaning no ties, scarfs, minimum jewelry, etc. We purchased an air purifier ozone generator and UV lights to use overnight to sterilize our space. We increased the ventilation and air filtration within our office. Our entire staff is to wash their hands before and after each patient encounter. Even administrative staff will wash their hands routinely throughout the day. We will wash, sanitize, and disinfect surfaces, paying more attention to high contact areas.
