In 1949, Hewitt Fontaine began the business from a small location in New Roads. By 1970 his children began to take over and built a new facility with room for expansion. Mr. Fontaine's two daughters and grandchildren went on to open Livonia Lumber in 1977 and Zachary Lumber in 2013. The company's organization prides itself on the company's experienced and knowledgeable sales team, along with fast and friendly service and free delivery!
