FOCUS Conferences Inc., of Rhinebeck, NY produces adult critical care nursing conferences as well as CCRN / PCCN review courses produced by nurses for Nurses. Our programs are well known for their strong academia packaged in a way that provides exceptional value to attendees. Robert Miglino, RRT MPS, a registered respiratory therapist who has spent... over 35 years working side by side with Critical Care, founded the conference with his late wife, Maria, who was an CCRN. Numerous Critical Care Nurse colleagues assist him in continuing the conferences today, serving on the planning committees and speaking each year. Many of the company's conferences, are co-provided with the New York State Nurses Association. FOCUS will be producing two conferences in 2016. Our first is our a 2-day CCRN/PCCN Review course taking place May 6-7, 2016 at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel in Nashville, TN. This course is designed to be a complete 15 contact hour review and exam-prep covering all of the content found on the CCRN/PCCN examinations. Participants will receive 15 contact hours for attending which can be applied toward the nursing continuing education requirements of most professional organizations and State Boards of Nursing. This 2-day review course presents information and experiences regarding evidence-based best practices to RNs who work in adult critical care and progressive care settings. Topics have been chosen to ensure success on the CCRN/PCCN examinations and to provide practicing nurses who already possess these credentials, a thorough review that will update their knowledge and expertise in the management of critically ill and progressive care patients. The course will present in-depth information in such areas as Neuroscience, Gastrointestinal, Pulmonary and Mechanical Ventilation, Cardiology and Cardiovascular Systems, Hematology, Endocrinology, Renal Systems, Psychosocial Behavior, Synergy and Multi-System Pathophysiology.
