Geoffrey May is the practice leader at FOCUS. He has over 30 years of experience in the battery industry and is a recognised expert in all aspects of rechargeable batteries, including lead-acid, nickel-based, lithium-based, sodium-based and silver-based systems as well as fuel cells and other energy technologies. FOCUS has been in operation since 2003 and has a wide client base. He leads a number of programmes for the Advanced Lead-Acid Battery Consortium and regularly participates in and chairs industry conferences. He was Chief Technology Officer for FIAMM in the period up to 2003 and prior to that was Group Director of Technology for Invensys/BTR Power Systems/Hawker Batteries (now EnerSys) for many years.
