Established in 2011. Flow Motion is more than a wellness studio; it's a wellness sanctuary! Unlike your gym, Flow Motion has a well rounded approach to health & wellness with a large focus on stress reduction, group fitness classes, dance instruction & essential oil education. The relaxation lounge offers heated massage chairs around the fireplace,... foot spas, an aromatherapy bar, an espresso & hot tea bar, heat therapy, & a wellness library. Flow Motion offers essential oil AromaTouch on the massage table, reiki, massage therapy, sessions in the zero-gravity massage chair with complimentary diffused aromatherapy & color therapy. Also available is the full spectrum infrared therapy room with color therapy and sound resonance therapy. Classes include: Beginner's Yoga, Vinyasa yoga, meditation, Zumba, Zumba Toning, Bellydance Fitness, PiYo, Insanity, Deep Stretch, Abs & Core, instructional bellydance classes, & free essential oil classes. Flow Motion's roots were established in 2009 in Mississippi. Back then it was called Gulf Coast Bellydance & it was a center for much more than dance classes. Men, women, & children all came to the studio for dance instruction, exposure to a different culture, & Zumba Fitness classes. When owner Alyssa Springs moved to Bellingham, focus was put on the community aspect that Gulf Coast Bellydance provided for all the students. Flow Motion was created to encompass more than just dance classes. Classes were held in various places around Bellingham, but nothing fit quite like Ferndale. Flow Motion held classes inside Ferndale Kula Yoga for nearly two years before opening the current 4,000 sq. foot facility it now calls home. Kula Yoga closed in 2014 and Flow Motion took over yoga classes, offering Ferndale's only private studio for yoga. Flow Motion expanded to 6,000 sq. ft. during its 2015 renovation.
