Flotilla

Flotilla 12-1 is located in Fort Totten, Bayside, NY. We operate under the supervision of USCG Sector New York. Our area of responsibility is North Shore of Long Island from Matinecock Point West into the East River to Mill Rock. We meet on the 2nd Thursday of every month and hold social activities throught the year. We provide free vessel safety c... hecks at local marinas. We also offer safe boating classes to the public in Queens, Nassau and Suffolk Counties. Course offerings include Boating Safety, Navigation, Sailing, and more. Our members are qualified in many different operational capacities; coxswains, interpreters, crew members, PWC operators, and several certified instructors. Many are qualified vessel examiners who conduct vessel safety checks and recreational boating safety visits. We train extensively and we conduct safety, regatta, and chart updating patrols.
