Floral Park

The Floral Park-Bellerose Union Free School District is comprised of approximately 1550 students. Our two schools, Floral Park-Bellerose and John Lewis Childs, each house grades PreK-6 on a neighborhood basis. Students then move on to grades 7-12 at Floral Park Memorial High School; which is part of the Sewanhaka Central High School District. In ad... dition, the Special Services Department provides a continuum of programs, placements, and related services to meet the needs of children who are eligible to receive special education services. We also provide a range of additional activities including Probe (Gifted & Talented), Orchestra, Band and Chorus. We are very proud of our staff. Over 300 educators, secretaries, custodians and aides assure that our students receive the best possible education in a warm and nurturing environment. The Floral Park-Bellerose Union Free School District is also fortunate to have parents and community members who are interested and involved in the education of their children. Along with classroom volunteers, we have many parents serving on district committees and tremendous support through the Floral Park-Bellerose and John Lewis Childs Parent Teacher Associations.
