The idea of conscious floristry means that at Florada we follow the ebb and flow of the seasons, selecting the best flowers from Australian growers, refusing imports and minimising waste with our packaging and daily processes. The floral industry, sadly, and ironically, has a very large environmental impact which is why we aim to reduce waste and s... upport the local economy. We are one of the few florists in Sydney to offer only Australian-grown flowers. Imported flowers carry a very heavy burden that is often overlooked. Aside from the air miles and carbon footprint that comes with flying flowers across the world, they also pose a risk to our biosecurity. Imported flowers must be treated with toxic chemicals before entering our borders, causing harm to the environment and posing a risk to our health. Our Australian-grown flowers are delivered in low-waste, compostable packaging.
