His great-grandfather established C.A. Doose and Co. in west Texas in 1895 and eventually became president of the First National Bank of Ballinger, one of the main financiers of the Abilene and Southern Railroad. Chris' grandmother, Betty Langford, founded American Abstract & Title and was instrumental in fostering his love for the building industr... y. After graduating from St. Edwards University with a B.A. in Business, Chris excelled at positions with Lennar Homes and Turner Construction. These opportunities provided Chris insight into the intricacies of everything from single and multi-family homes to commercial development and ultimately the establishment of Flintrock Builders. When asked why he decided to call central Texas home and establish his business here, he indicated that the decision was an easy one. "My grandfathers and my father served in the US Army and I always knew that I would work to serve the communities of central Texas, particularly the ones that support the men and women of Ft. Hood. When not at the office or at the job site, Chris enjoys hunting, boating, and traveling the world or just hanging out with his sidekick, Lucky Dogg. He proudly shares his home with his 90 year old grandfather and enjoys spending time and planning for the future with his fiancé, Courtney Clowers. With over 150 homes to his credit, Chris and the Flintrock Builders team continue the history of excellence established by his family.
