Chef Ben Merritt is a rising star in the Fort Worth food scene. In addition to the accolades above, he has also received awards for Best New Restaurant, Best Brunch, Best Appetizers and Best Gluten Free Dishes, just to name a few. Fixture serves up New American cuisine and craft cocktails in a funky, exposed brick venue on the citys Near Southside.... Ben opened his second concept, Bens Triple B: Biscuits, Burgers & Brews, in March 2019. Located near the Texas Wesleyan University campus, he serves up biscuit sandwiches, old-fashioned burgers on Kolache buns, salads, sides and desserts, with a full bar and spacious patio. Ben developed his passion for food and cooking by traveling the world during his time in the U.S. Navy. He has dedicated over 10 years of his life to the restaurant industry, and is an American Culinary Federation Certified Culinarian. During his career, Chef Ben has had the privilege to work and train alongside several of Americas prestigious chefs, including Chef Stephan Pyles. The Fort Worth community is very important to Ben. He works closely with Near Southside, Inc., supporting various local community events. Hes also actively involved with TCU and the Fairmount Community Library.
