We are all passionate about animals and their well-being, from our veterinary surgeons and qualified nurses to our essential assistants We work as a team to ensure your experience with us is an enjoyable one. Thomas graduat... ed from the Royal Veterinary College as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2007, having already spent many years working in a veterinary practice. With over 20 years experience in veterinary nursing and assessment of students, he has an interest in the care of birds, rabbits and tortoises. Thomas is delighted to use all that he has learned in leading the practice into a new era and develop the services offered to clients (and their owners). He is joined at work with his team of pugs named Ralph, Reggie and Edie. At home, Thomas looks after two tortoises. Michael graduated from Edinburgh's Royal (Dick) Veterinary school in 1979. Michael Lockerbie is the longest standing member of the team; he started Allpets Catford which is Fitzgeralds predecessor. Michael owned Allpets for over 30 years with many years more experience and took the decision in 2018 to sell the business to another longstanding member of Staff, Thomas Fitzgerald. Still crucial part of our team he is now our Senior Veterinary Surgeon that many of our clients know and trust. Michael has many experience and knowledge into both the Medical and Surgical sides of being a Veterinary Surgeon. Michael is accompanied to work by Roy the Border Collie who likes to say hello to our Clients at the reception desk. Sara began working at Fitzgeralds in July 2021. She is from Portugal where she studied and qualified in 2013 as a Veterinary Surgeon, she has also spent some time in Turkey furthering her Veterinary knowledge. She has lived in the UK for 4 years and shares her home with her partner, rescue Whippet X Greyhound and her Russian Blue cat. She has worked in several 1st opinion practices and hospitals locally.
