I am a marketing professional with over fifteen years' experience across several different industries. I hold the Chartered Institute of Marketing Professional Diploma. Following a BSc(hons) degree, my marketing career began in 2001 as a Marketing Assistant for Five Lakes Hotel, Golf, Country Club & Spa, a four-star hotel in Essex. I then gained sp... ecialist PR and media relations experience working as a Public Relations Assistant for Epping District Council responding to daily press enquiries as well as proactively generating media coverage. This was followed by four years within the charity sector as a Marketing Executive for national disability charity, Motability, managing a wide range of marketing initiatives and campaigns including an annual direct mail campaign to over one million people. In 2008, I joined Holly House Hospital as Marketing & Business Development Manager, with responsibility for identifying growth opportunities and executing marketing strategies designed to exploit these opportunities, as well as supporting the development of the private practices of hospital consultants. I've since held similar positions with Ramsay Health Care and Schoen Clinic, a new entrant to the UK health market, where I launched three hospitals in a nine-month period. I established Firtree Marketing in 2014, with the aim of providing flexible, affordable and effective marketing support based on the specific needs of individual clients. I love reading and like to spend any free time I have curled up on the sofa with tea, chocolate and a good book. I also love writing so what better way to combine the two sharing my thoughts about the books I read! I read mainly psychological thrillers and womens fiction but basically just love a good book and so will read most things.
