First Response Medical Training

First Response Medical Training is committed to providing the highest standard of education. Our mission is to instruct students to competency levels for employment and career advancement in today's job market. Individuals are provided programs and services that will enable them to develop academic skills and technical competence necessary for job... acquisition and retention. First Response Medical Training (FRMT) was formed in August of 2005 by Mr. Ricardo Acosta. Early success came by approval as a training site, by both the American Heart Association and the American Safety & Health Institute (ID FIRS51). The school's initial training included Basic Life Support (BLS) and Heartsaver CPR/AED First Aid Training. In October 2006, FRMT (S3129) was approved as one of the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) Career Schools and Colleges and the National Healthcare Association (NHA), site code TX46, to offer training in Phlebotomy Technician (CPT). In November 2006, the school moved to its current location, located at 2904 Trimmier Road in Killeen, Texas. Since then, FRMT has expanded its course offerings throughout the years to include Electrocardiogram (EKG) Technician, and Mental Health Technician (CMHT), Pharmacy Technician (CPhT), Dental Assistant (DTA), and Clinical Medical Assistant (CMA) training. In 2010, the school became affiliated with American Medical Certification Association (AMCA), who is recognized by the Career Colleges and Schools of Texas (CCST) and is now a testing site for the AMCA. FRMT has since become a member of the CCST in 2011 and specializes in providing accelerated allied health career training and preparing students for nationally recognized competency testing (certification) in their respective fields for the AMCA and NHA. The school continues to offer BLS, CPR/AED and First Aid, Pet CPR, ACLS, PHTLS, and CABS training.
