At Finlam Technical we focus on developing safety wear fabrics so that your customers can be assured of the very best in fire protectant, military waterproof and breathable jackets. We have designed some of our safety wear products with drop linings and protective barriers to provide both comfort and safety. Although we produce and stock standard p... roducts, we differ from other suppliers as we are more than happy to work with customers to provide bespoke safety or protective wear products using a variation of laminating or coating techniques tailored for unique conditions. We have two classes of moisture barrier for our fire protection range namely polyester class and aramid class. We also have our own lab to test our fabrics to ensure products are high-performance flame resistant and/or offer protection against inclement weather conditions. Our range of waterproof, breathable products are produced to keep safety personnel dry and help dispel perspiration or evaporation build up by allowing it to escape, This also keeps clothing dry and comfortable body temperatures. Polyester is a more economical moisture barrier which comprises of a waterproof/breathable laminate that is constructed with a flame retardant treated polyester woven fabric laminated to either a FR polyurethane membrane or a polytetrafluoroethylene membrane. Customers can choose the PU membrane thickness as well as whether they want treated or untreated membranes. Our Aramid class offers a high performance moisture barrier to wearers which we accomplish by using various applied technologies. Some examples include bonding membranes that are waterproof and breathable to the underside of a garment. Laminates and coatings will be formulated according to your needs. Our military waterproof/breathable fabrics are produced by using three-ply laminates treated with a water repellent finish. This fabric will offer optimum protection for rainy and windy conditions.
