Filtration Systems, Inc. was founded in 1980 by Richard Bayerlein, P.E. and his son, Doug, who holds a BSME from SMU. The Bayerleins have extensive experience in the filtration industry, and are the creators of the "Swirl Flow" patent, which combines high flow rates and exceptional dirt-holding capacity in a depth-type filtration cartridge. Filtration Systems manufactures air, oil, fuel and process filters at its 40,000 sq. ft. facility, located in Waukesha, WI. The company specializes in filtration products for the Energy Sector, primarily diesels, and gas-fired reciprocating engines, turbines, compressors and natural gas processing plants.
