Fiennes Restoration is the amalgamation of a number of specialist but complementary companies. Together they now constitute a company which is both broad in the services on offer but also has great depth of knowledge and experience. Fiennes Engineering was founded in 1976 by Will Fiennes, who brought his experience as a nuclear physicist and tribol... ogist to his passion for Rolls-Royce and Bentley motorcars. Specialising in all mechanical aspects of the small horsepower cars Fiennes Engineering established an enviable reputation as one of the foremost experts in the world, catering for cars from the 20hp Rolls-Royce to the Wraith. The emphasis was on mechanical restoration and the manufacture and supply of new spare parts. The range of skills available at Fiennes Restoration was increased by the merger of the coachbuilding business of Clanfield Restorations with Fiennes. Having worked together for many years it was a logical development to bring the complementary skills under one roof. Our expertise in the small horsepower cars was extended and deepened by the acquisition of PC Metalcraft, specialists in the 25/30 Rolls-Royce. In April 2005 we acquired the parts manufacturing facilities of Coldwell Engineering, specialists in Silver Ghosts and Phantoms 1 and 2. We are now able to offer a wide range of parts for pre-war Rolls-Royce and Derby Bentley chassis. This is complemented by a complete restoration and overhaul service for all pre-war cars.
